Iolite was seated on the fine band of a minimal ring; the violet blue is enough on its own. It was shaped without a mold; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it passed through the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing) are available.
Iolite is traditionally counted the stone of finding direction. The Vikings are said to have looked through a thin slice of iolite to locate the sun on the open sea; it is carried with the intention of making a decision clear.
Keep away from perfume, creams and water; wipe with a soft cloth.

If you don't know your ring size, you can measure it in two minutes:
If you have a ring
- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).
- Send us the measurement — we will match it to the closest Hashimi size for you.
If you don't have a ring
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the finger you'll wear the ring on, passing over the knuckle.
- Mark where it meets and measure the strip flat — this is your finger circumference (mm).
- Send us this measurement and we'll find the right size together.
