Our Story
The Story of Haşimi Doğaltaş
Heritage
Some crafts are learned over time. Others are carried on across generations. Haşimi belongs to the second kind of story.
Stone and jewellery took their place in our family's life many years ago. This journey was never confined to a single geography; it grew through experience gathered in different countries, at the very centres of the gemstone trade. Year after year, this knowledge became not merely a profession, but a deep expertise — an understanding of the true nature and value of a stone.
The Grand Bazaar
Over the years this family heritage moved to the Grand Bazaar. We set up our own bench and, shaping the legacy of the past through our own understanding, began to carry Haşimi toward the identity it holds today.
Philosophy
To truly know a stone
To truly know a stone is not only to see its colour and its sparkle. One must read its vein, judge its texture, observe the relationship it forms with light, and interpret it in the most faithful way. This way of seeing is the very foundation of Haşimi.
For us, every stone exists first through its own nature. We believe not in changing it, but in revealing its character. We bring the unique vein, the natural colour, the light and the texture of a stone together with the right design — and transform them into jewellery that will hold its value against time.
We cast no molds
We choose the stone
Every stone is weighed by hand, held to the light, its vein examined. A stone that isn't genuine never reaches this bench.
We cut to suit it
We never force a stone into a mold; we shape the design around its character.
We set it by hand
A master's hand shapes the silver or gold around the stone. A single piece can take days.
Today & Tomorrow
Behind every Haşimi design lies not only an aesthetic sensibility, but the idea of creating a value that can be passed on to the future. We do not see a piece of jewellery merely as part of today — we see it as the beginning of a story that will be told in the years to come.
Knowledge passed down through the family, the mastery of years and the vision of a new generation all gather around the same understanding: to add value to a stone, to respect its nature, and to make the beauty that emerges timeless.

Three Doors, One Craft
A stone is best understood in the hand, not on a screen. In Istanbul we keep three doors open — the bench at the Grand Bazaar, and two shops a few streets away.
“Haşimi? They know stone.”
You'll find our bench at the Grand Bazaar, Istanbul.
