A sapphire is seated in a pair of gold-plated 925 sterling silver earrings; the blue stands deeper still beside the warm tone of the gold. No casting mold was used — the stone was worked one at a time at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Sapphire is traditionally associated with wisdom and inner confidence. For centuries it was counted as the stone of royal jewels; it is carried with an intention of loyalty.

- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).

- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the finger you'll wear the ring on, passing over the knuckle.
- Mark where it meets and measure the strip flat — this is your finger circumference (mm).
