Aquamarine jewellery
Aquamarine is a light blue stone from the beryl family. Its colour ranges from a pale, watery blue to tones that lean towards green; because it is clear, it lets light pass through. The pale tone is the stone's own colour, and deep blue aquamarine is scarce. If you would like a more saturated blue, take a look at blue topaz.
The necklaces include double-ring, strand and Adeline series designs, as well as a Lara series choker. Some of the rings are custom designs that combine aquamarine with tourmaline or amethyst; among them is a men's ring. A bracelet with faceted stones, the Gaia bracelet strung with tourmaline, enamelled sets, pearl and aquamarine earrings and a set of tasselled prayer beads are also included. The pieces are mostly made in 925 sterling silver.
Aquamarine is a hard stone and resists scratching. Even so, keep it away from perfume and cream, and store it in a soft cloth, apart from other jewellery. Aquamarine is traditionally associated with inner peace.
