This ruby bracelet for women was worked by seating red stones into a gold-plated body; warm metal and deep red stand on the same side. A master who has been doing the same work for more than thirty years worked it mold-free at his workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Because the settings are cut one at a time, the alignment of the stones is its own in every piece.
Ruby was called the lord of stones in India. It is traditionally carried with an intention of courage and resolve.
