On these amethyst natural stone drop silver earrings the stone hangs free at the end of a fine chain; it gives a purple movement with every step. A master with more than thirty years at the bench worked it mold-free, one at a time, at his workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Because the length of the chain is set by hand, the swing of the two earrings is not exactly alike.
In ancient Greece amethyst was counted as the stone of a clear mind; in our culture it is called purple rock crystal. It is traditionally carried with an intention of inner calm.
