Green amethyst was fastened to a 925 sterling silver necklace with silver prongs; the prongs hold the green of the stone at its edge. No casting mold was used; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar the piece was built stone by stone in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Green amethyst is traditionally associated with calm and openness. It is the variety of amethyst that leans toward green; in ancient Greece it was spoken of together with a clear mind.
Keep away from water, perfume and creams; wipe with a soft cloth.
