A drop-form rutilated quartz falls from the ear on these 925 sterling silver earrings; with every sway, the golden needles inside the drop catch the light differently. There is no mold here; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, a master with more than thirty years at the bench seated the stone in its setting by hand.
Rutilated quartz is traditionally associated with clarity and with holding an intention open. In common speech it is called the hair of Venus; it is carried to gather the mind.
