In the chalcedony natural stone silver earrings the milky blue of the stone sets a soft contrast with the brightness of the silver. It was worked mold-free; at a bench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was made one at a time in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Because the clouded texture of chalcedony is different in every stone, the two earrings never look alike.
Chalcedony takes its name from Chalcedon, the ancient name of Kadikoy. It is traditionally carried with the intention of stillness and open speech.
