This long leaf brooch was worked in 925 sterling silver as a slender, elongated leaf; it draws a vertical line along the lapel. One at a time, mold-free — it came from the hands of a master with more than thirty years at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Because the curve of the leaf is given by hand, every piece sits at a slightly different angle.
The leaf motif is associated with growth and continuity in Anatolian jewelry. It is worn with an intention of renewal.
Keep away from perfume, creams and water; wipe with a soft cloth.
