An amethyst is placed into a fish-motif 925 sterling silver necklace, the light within the purple moving together with the silver scales. It never came out of a mold; it was worked by hand at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar by a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Since the lines of the motif are opened by hand, no two pieces are exactly alike.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with inner peace and intuition. The fish motif, in Anatolia, is carried with the intention of abundance and continuity.
