This prehnite minimal silver necklace was made by taking the pale green stone into a slender 925 sterling silver bezel. A master who has been doing the same work for more than thirty years shaped it without a mold at his bench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar. Because the translucent green of the stone stands at a different depth in every piece, the necklace never repeats.
Prehnite takes its name from Colonel Prehn, the Dutchman who first brought it to Europe. It is traditionally associated with calm and clarity of intention.
