This serpentine silver necklace was made by taking the green-veined stone into a 925 sterling silver bezel. At a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, a master with more than thirty years at the bench worked it without a casting mold. Because the pattern of serpentine runs differently in every stone, the face of this necklace exists only here.
Serpentine takes its name from a pattern that recalls snakeskin; in Anatolia it is known as the snake stone. It is traditionally carried with an intention of protection and renewal.
Keep away from perfume, creams and water; wipe with a soft cloth.
