The emerald natural stone necklace was prepared by lining the beads along the line of the neck; the green sets an unbroken line at the throat. Without any mold, at a bench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was strung bead by bead in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Because the tone of every bead differs, the rhythm of the row is particular to this necklace.
Emerald is traditionally associated with loyalty and renewal. In ancient Rome green was the color of beauty; today it is still carried with the intention of inner continuity.

- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).

- Mark where it meets and measure the strip flat — this is your finger circumference (mm).
