Amber prayer beads and jewellery
When you pick up amber, the first thing you notice is how light it is. Amber is not actually a stone but tree resin that has hardened over millions of years, which is why it feels warm in the hand. Its colour ranges from light honey yellow to a deep cognac tone. The largest group is amber prayer beads: alongside the drop-cut, mini drop and 99-bead drop designs, there are Esma-ul-Husna prayer beads in natural amber. You can find prayer beads in other stones on the Prayer Beads page.
The necklaces come in drop, baguette-cut and strand designs, and the bracelets have sphere-cut beads. Earrings that combine amber with opal or tourmaline, a ring with diamonds and a set made with ruby are also included. The 99-bead drop prayer beads have metal fittings with a crescent and star detail and a silk tassel.
Amber is soft and sensitive to chemicals. Keep it away from water, perfume, deodorant and cream, and do not put amber prayer beads in the same pocket as keys.
Frequently asked questions
How much does amber cost?
Amber necklaces start at around 2,050 TL. Amber prayer beads are between 7,800 and 11,500 TL, and the natural amber Esma-ul-Husna prayer beads are around 30,000 TL.
Where can I buy amber?
Our amber prayer beads and jewellery are sent from our workbench in the Grand Bazaar with MNG Kargo or DHL. Shipping is free on orders of 2,000 TL and over; below that, a shipping fee of 249 TL applies.
Can amber prayer beads get wet?
They should be kept out of water. Over time, water and moisture can dull the surface of amber; we recommend setting the prayer beads aside during wudu.
Which zodiac sign is amber associated with?
On our product pages, amber is shown as a match for Leo. It is traditionally carried with the intention of protection; these pairings are based on belief.
