Coral, pearl and yellow sapphire are lined up side by side as a trio on these earrings from the Efruz series; red, nacre and yellow read one after another. No casting mold was used; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, the piece was built stone by stone in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Coral is traditionally associated with protection and is counted as the red of the sea. Pearl is carried with an intention of tenderness and yellow sapphire with one of wisdom; the three tell the same story in this pair.
