On the agate of this ring, Ali Veliullah was carved by hand in Arabic calligraphy; the letters read as a light trace on the dark ground of the stone. The calligraphy was worked with no casting mold; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar a master with more than thirty years at the bench drew the script by hand. The 925 sterling silver ring is offered in ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing).
Agate is traditionally associated with protection and loyalty; it is the oldest ring stone of Anatolia. An agate ring bearing calligraphy is carried to keep an intention in view.
