Dark sapphire is held between hand-woven silver wires on a wire-woven ring; a blue close to night looks even deeper against the shine of the wire. It never entered a mold; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it took its form in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. It is offered in ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing).
Sapphire is traditionally counted as the stone of the sky; in old Persian belief the earth was thought to rest on a giant sapphire and the sky to take its color from it. It is carried with an intention of wisdom.

If you have a ring
- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).
- Send us the measurement — we will match it to the closest Hashimi size for you.
If you don't have a ring
- Wrap a thin strip of paper or a piece of string around the finger you'll wear the ring on, passing over the knuckle.
- Mark where it meets and measure the strip flat — this is your finger circumference (mm).
- Send us this measurement and we'll find the right size together.
