An emerald is seated at the center of a flower-form pair of 925 sterling silver earrings; the green looks out from between the silver petals. The flower was worked without a mold; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, it was built petal by petal in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Emerald is traditionally counted as the stone of love and loyalty. Since the mines of Cleopatra it has been associated with the green of renewal; it is carried with an intention of inner strength.
