On these coral and garnet natural stone earrings from the Efruz series two reds meet; one belongs to the sea, the other to the earth. It was shaped without a mold; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar the hand of a master with more than thirty years at the bench touched it. Because the depth of the tones is natural, the pair comes in a red of its own.
Coral is traditionally counted as protective. Garnet, in turn, is associated with devotion; in Rome it was used as a seal stone.
