Amethyst is taken into a wide setting on a 925 sterling silver men's ring; the depth of the purple suits the weight of the silver. No casting mold was used - at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was worked one at a time in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. It is prepared in ring sizes 10, 11 and 12 (Turkish sizing).
Amethyst is traditionally counted as the stone of staying measured; in Ancient Greece its name meant not intoxicating. It is carried by those who want to make their decisions calmly.

- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).
