Amethyst is seated at the center of a flower-patterned 925 sterling silver ring; the silver leaves open out around the purple stone. The flower was worked mold-free; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was built up leaf by leaf in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. It comes in ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing).
Amethyst is traditionally carried with an intention of calm; in our culture it is also known by the name purple rock crystal. The flower, in turn, is the sign of spring in Anatolian jewelry.
