Amethyst beads are lined up along a 925 sterling silver strand necklace; the tone of the purple opens and deepens from bead to bead. The strand was made mold-free — at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was strung bead by bead by a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Because the order of the tones is set by hand, no two strands are exactly alike.
Amethyst is traditionally associated with clarity of mind and inner calm. In Turkey it is known as purple rock crystal.
