On these garnet natural stone flower silver earrings the beads are gathered at the center like the petals of a flower. No casting mold was used - at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was worked one at a time in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Because the depth of the red shifts from stone to stone, the two earrings never look the same.
Garnet is traditionally associated with devotion and resolve. In Rome it was used as a seal stone; it is carried with an intention of loyalty.
