In this necklace from the Lara series, aquamarine spreads across the neck on a 925 sterling silver setting, its pale blue opening up in daylight. No casting mold was used - it was worked one piece at a time at a bench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Aquamarine takes its name from the Latin words for sea water. It is traditionally carried with the intention of calm and clear expression.
