Navy sapphire beads were strung in a single row on this necklace; against the skin, the deep blue sits close to black. It was prepared mold-free — at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, a master with more than thirty years at the bench strung it bead by bead.
Sapphire is traditionally regarded as the stone of loyalty and wisdom. It is the constant stone of royal jewelry; it is carried as a reminder of a promise given.

- Measure the inner diameter of a ring that fits comfortably, in millimetres (from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge).

- Mark where it meets and measure the strip flat — this is your finger circumference (mm).
