On these smoky quartz and garnet natural stone silver earrings a misty brown stands next to a deep red. It was worked mold-free; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was finished one at a time in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. Because the tone of both stones is natural, the pair belongs to itself.
Smoky quartz is traditionally associated with grounding and calm. Garnet, in turn, is carried with an intention of devotion; in Rome it was used as a seal stone.
