A single turquoise stands on this gold-toned silver women's ring; the fine veins across the face of the stone speak the same language as the golden tone, and because the veining is natural this pattern exists only on this ring. It was worked mold-free; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar it was finished one at a time in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench. There are ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing).
Turquoise is traditionally counted as protective and is associated with inner balance; its name passed to Europe as the Turkish blue. It is carried by those who want to say their word without hesitation.
