Turquoise was taken into a rose-toned 925 sterling silver women's ring; beside the blue, the metal turning toward pink surrounds the stone with a soft warmth. There is no mold here; at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar a master with more than thirty years at the bench seated the stone in its setting by hand. It is offered in ring sizes 8, 9 and 10 (Turkish sizing).
In Anatolia turquoise is counted as a protective stone; for centuries it has been hung against the evil eye on everything from horse harness to cradles. It is carried with a wish for clarity of mind.
Keep away from water and perfume; wipe with a soft cloth.
