Drop-cut rutilated quartz was fastened to this necklace with 925 sterling silver prongs; at the pointed tip of the drop, the golden threads draw close together. No casting mold was used; the piece was built stone by stone at a workbench in Istanbul's Grand Bazaar, in the hands of a master with more than thirty years at the bench.
Rutilated quartz is traditionally associated with a sense of inner direction. The needles running through the quartz have earned it the name Venus's hair; it is carried with the intention of clarity.
Keep away from perfume, creams and water; wipe with a soft cloth.
